I was born and raised in The Netherlands but soon after I graduated from the art academy I went to live in South Africa for 10 years with my husband Deon who I met there. After a stint of 4 years in Australia we now spend our time between France and South Africa.
I grew up with a camera in my hand and I started photographing weddings fulltime in 2011 together with Deon (he still comes along with me on big weddings). A couple of years ago I also founded a collective of documentary wedding photographers called Counterpart Photos.
I have documented celebrations in Canada, America, Brazil, Iceland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Namibia, South Africa and Australia.
And my photographs have been featured by Vogue, Financial Times Fashion, The Lane and Anti-Bride.
